Did you know that on average, up to two Australian farmers are killed each year from coming into contact with electricity? Farmers are also seriously injured by electricity or they experience near-misses, which is not effectively captured in our farm safety data.
This survey aims to investigate the prevalence of on-farm electricity-related incidents in Australia. We want to know more about the causes or contributing factors associated with these occurrences so that we can inform the electricity sector and policy makers of our findings. We want to create effective resources to make farms safer places to work, live and visit.
