Join the National Centre for Farmer Health (NCFH) for a practical and informative session exploring the risks, assessment and management of livestock needlestick injuries.
Presented by Professor Susan Brumby and Mr Stephen Clifforth, this evidence-based workshop will cover:
- Why livestock needlestick injuries differ from routine needlestick injuries
- Risks associated with livestock vaccines and injectable products
- Current treatment recommendations and referral pathways
- Real case studies from regional Victoria
- Practical strategies to improve patient outcomes and prevent injury
Ashley Read, Senior Area Manager, Western Victoria for Zoetis Australia, will also be in attendance to answer product-related questions and demonstrate livestock vaccination equipment.
This free event is open to healthcare professionals, rural service providers and community members interested in farmer health, wellbeing and safety.
Light refreshments will be provided, with time for networking and discussion following the presentation.
